Howdy HumSalviaphiles,
Does anyone on this list grow Salvia 'Chiquita
Blue'? I got one a few years
ago from Yucca Do and have enjoyed it immensely - mostly because
of its
carefree temperament, lovely azure blossoms, and aromatic foiliage.
It
comes into bloom in September and continues a month or so. It
flowered
modestly the first year. I never saw a hummer go near it. Last
September,
it was spectacular and one time, I saw a female Rufous nipping
at the flowers. However, this season, it is again spectacular
and the hummers are
all over it. Think I'll get another few started.
Tell me how it is doing in your humdomain.
