Bonus point project, BIOL 4142 (Ornithology)
Purpose: to familiarize you with the Christmas Bird Count data-base and its applications.
Assignment: go to CBC "Make a Graph" page
[http://audubon2.org/birds/cbc/hr/graph.html]
and find ANY five species that are common in Louisiana in winter and use the "make graph" routine to make a graph for results from 1970-71 to 2006-07. For 5 bonus points, grab these graphs and email them to me (no paper copies, please); make sure species label and legend shows. Make a separate graph for each species (because differences in scales on Y axis can obscure trends), and use "birds/party hour" as your dependent variable (Y axis; this controls for differences in effort among counts), not the total number of individual birds. Don't forget to label the graphs with species' names.
Do not send .docx files -- convert to .doc or another format that I can read.
