Quizzes #2-5: 20 points

• 10 points on identification and order or family membership on Louisiana bird species from previous lab only. Five species will be selected, and a study skin of each will be shown to the students briefly; the family or order membership of each of the five will also be asked. So, 1 point for correct English name and 1 point for each correct family or order.

• 10 points on predictive morphology: students will examine 5 study skins representing morphotypes discussed in previous lab and will be asked to identify the morphotypes. The specimens will typically be of species that the students have not seen in lab, i.e., unfamiliar species; the idea is to apply what you learned to novel situations.
