One of the primary functions of NEOORN is to
disseminate published information on the biology of Neotropical birds. A
frequent obstacle to research on Neotropical birds is difficulty in access to
the literature, especially in tropical countries. The goal of NEOLIT postings
is to help remedy this problem by bringing potentially useful information to
the attention of the NEOORN community.
The following journals are currently covered by the
NEOORN members below for the NEOLIT postings on NEOORN. Reviewers post the full
citations of papers relevant to Neotropical ornithology, along with varying
degrees of comments on content and how to contact authors. Journals that have
their tables of contents online are underlined -- click on the journal name to
go to its web site.

Una de las funciones principales de NEOORN es la de
diseminar informacin publicada sobre la biologa de aves neotropicales. Un
obstculo frecuente en la investigacin sobre aves neotropicales es la
dificultad en el acceso a bibliografa, sobretodo en pases neotropicales. La
meta de NEOLIT es ayudar a remediar el problema llamando la atencin a la
comunidad de NEOORN sobre informacin potencialmente til.
Las siguientes publicaciones estn actualmente cubiertas por los miembros de
NEOORN listados a continuacin, para los anuncios de NEOLIT en NEOORN. Los
revisores colocan las citas bibliogrficas completas de inters para la
ornitologa neotropical, junto con diferentes niveles de comentarios sobre el
