Undergraduate Research Opportunities

The Austin lab provides exciting opportunities for undergraduates to get valuable research experience. Opportunities range from paid positions in the form of work-study, Chancellor’s aid, and NSF Research for Undergraduate funds as well as unpaid positions such as Directed Studies (BIOL 3999), and just good old fashion volunteer work. Positions are limited but I am looking for highly motivated students who are interested in advancing their career’s through involvement in research. Lab work primarily involves PCR, DNA sequencing, and computational analysis of genetic data.
